This Women’s day let’s talk about the Women’s Safety of the working force people. To a heavily populated country like India, traffic, pollution, and unsolicited harassments are a part and parcel of Urban living.

Did you know?

At least 2 out of 5 women have experienced some sort of harassment while commuting to the office!

But Relax! This is fading away rapidly than you can imagine with the boom of the IT sector in every industry and the rapid culture change among the current workforce. A new wave of commuting is trending right now which is absolutely safe, secure and most of all helps to build a professional network out of your office so effortlessly!

Yass! I am talking about the carpooling rides while commuting to work. Though it may be prevalent for a long time in western countries and other major cities in India, still people are a little reluctant to use it in some B-Town cities.

However, on a larger scale, there are so many thousands of women employees who are fortunate enough to experience the goodness of these carpooling in hustle-bustle metropolitan cities.

Back in March 2019, I stepped out of my comfort zone from OMR to apparently a new area (Guindy), which I was clueless before. I was initially skeptical of how on earth I am going to travel up and down 36 kms every single day for a person like me who hasn’t traveled so much on a daily basis.

Then, Carpooling came to my rescue. Not because it provides utmost safety and comfort as I told above but to a whole new reason! Guys the icing on the cake is yet to come! It is networking with awesome people, my women co-riders!

It’s time to introduce to some of my pretty, witty and funny beautiful women riders who made all my rides fun and prevented mental tiredness. I am always amazed at how tactfully they manage the work-life balance by striking the right chord at the right time.

@Deepika, I owe you girl so much! She is my first co-rider and you inspired me to take this carpooling experience without any second thought. A busy HR from HTC Global who is always on her toe yet bubbly and spread radiance wherever she goes! Look at this pic, taken after a long day at work but ain’t she still look fresh with full of energy!

@Kalai, an innocent yet chatterbox girl who lightens every co-riders mood with her friendly giggles and keeps us thoroughly occupied with her office stories. I love her dedication to cooking! How many spinsters do that? :) Thanks @Sharvan for giving us a safe and friendly ride along with Telugu blockbuster hits!

@Nikita the sales queen from the Business Development team from ADP. A Bihari girl, who is full of energy and vibrant and a budding YouTuber. Thanks, @Yuvaraj for putting up with us for all the womanish talks :)

@Shanthi, a senior manager in Risk management, is a homely & lovely woman from Madurai. For her position managing the work stress and her personal life is not a child’s play. But she pulls it off seamlessly in between the business travels with such elegance. Wow, Shanthi how do you do it?

@Sahiti and @Jagruthi, two Telugu girls from Hyderabad, Python Ninjas. Right from boutique shops to the latest Vijaydevarkonda movie, I totally cherish their company. Any Rockstar fans here:)

On a final note, this women’s day let’s set a positive vibe by building an awesome network full of love and positivity. Let’s back each other whenever & wherever needed!

Stay Safe!
